His Holiness Pope Leo XII died on 10 February 1829 in Rome, in the 6th year of his pontificate, at the age of 68-years. He was buried on 15 February in the Patriarchal Vatican Basilica, and his mortal remains were transferred on 5 December 1830 to the Grottoes of the same basilica.

His Holiness Pope Pius VIII died on 30 November 1830 in Rome, in the 2nd year of his pontificate, at the age of 69-years. He was buried on 6 December in the Patriarchal Vatican Basilica, and his mortal remains were transferred on 5 June 1846 to the Grottoes of the same basilica.

His Holiness Pope Pius IX died on 7 February 1878 in Rome, in the 32nd year of his pontificate, at the age of 85-years. He was buried on 13 February in the Patriarchal Vatican Basilica, and his mortal remains were transferred on 13 July 1881 to the basilica of San Lorenzo fuori le Mura, Rome. The diocesan process for his canonization was initiated on 11 February 1907 by Pope St. Pius X, his heroic virtues were proclaimed on 6 July 1985 by Pope John Paul II, and he was beatified on 3 September 2000 by the same Roman Pontiff. His feast is kept on 7 February, and is in Rome an obligatory Memorial and in the Vatican an optional Memorial.

His Holiness Pope Leo XIII died on 20 July 1903 in Rome, in the 26th year of his pontificate, at the age of 93-years. He was buried on 25 July in the Patriarchal Vatican Basilica, and his mortal remains were transferred on 22 October 1924 to the Patriarchal Lateran Basilica, where on 27 October he was buried.

His Holiness Pope Pius X died on 20 August 1914 in Rome, in the 12th year of his pontificate, at the age of 79-years. He was buried on 23 August in the Grottoes of the Patriarchal Vatican Basilica. The diocesan process for his canonization was initiated on 12 February 1943 by Pope Pius XII, and his heroic virtues were proclaimed on 3 September 1950, he was beatified on 3 June 1951, and canonized on 29 May 1954 by the same Roman Pontiff. His mortal remains were transferred on 17 February 1952 to the altar of the Chapel of the Presentation of the Patriarchal Vatican Basilica. His feast was originally kept on 3 September, and was created a III Class feast in the universal calendar on 25 July 1960 by Bl. Pope John XXIII. The feast was transferred to 21 August as an obligatory Memorial in the universal calendar on 14 February 1969 by Pope Paul VI, and is in the Vatican kept as a Feast.

The diocesan process for his canonization was initiated on 18 November 1965 by Pope Paul VI, his heroic virtues were proclaimed on 29 December 1989 by Pope John Paul II, and he was beatified on 3 September 2000 by the same Roman Pontiff. His mortal remains were transferred on 3 June 2001 to the altar of the Chapel of St. Jerome of the Patriarchal Vatican Basilica. His feast is kept on 11 October in Rome and at the Vatican as an obligatory Memorial, but he is remembered in the Martyrologium romanum on 3 June.
